Strapping for clay and concrete paving stones that do not alter their volume, are rigid, partially sharp and heavy must be splice-proof and have a high edge strength. LINDER PREMIUM PET strapping meets all these criteria and is designed for the weight of pallets. Our extra-wide 25 mm PET strapping is particularly suitable for such heavy and solid materials. In order to affix the layers horizontally, many concrete block plants still reach for the PP strapping, since the breaking load is not what matters here, but rather securing against slipping. However, PET tape alone is used for the vertical strapping of concrete blocks or paving stones.
In the case of roofing tiles made of clay or concrete which are packed in smaller packages, the use of PP strapping is recommended since the weight and therefore the requirement for the strapping for roof tile packages is lower. The pallet with roof tiles is then strapped with PET strapping again due to the high total weight.
Manufacturers of parquet or laminate have to deal with fragile material, which must be specially protected against damage from impression. The laminate or parquet is usually packaged in bundles and shrunk. The strapping for parquet or laminate packages in order to secure the building materials on the pallet must have a high breaking load due to the high weight of the pallet. This is possible with PET strapping. In addition, special attention is to be paid to the protection of the uppermost and lowermost layer: squared timber, a protective panel or edge protection protect the parquet or laminate from pressure damage, so that PET strapping can be attached using a battery-powered strapping tool or within a conveyor belt with a fully automatic PET strapping system.
