There are almost exclusively very sensitive, pressure-sensitive and compressible products in the corrugated cardboard industry. We also have the perfect solutions for you for these requirements. Thoughtful. Competent. Reliable. Read more…
PP strapping or narrow PET in a width of 5-9 mm is used for bundling corrugated cardboard. PET strapping is usually used to secure pallets of finished products. Edge protection corners or strips are often used due to the fragile nature of corrugated cardboard and the associated risk of incision. Stapling wire is mostly used as a crate or cardboard stapling wire and is often used in the corrugated cardboard industry.
Manual or battery-powered strapping tools with PP or PET strapping are also used for bundling or securing in the corrugated cardboard industry. The correct adjustment of the tensile force is decisive here to ensure that the goods are bundled, but not crushed at the same time. As a battery-powered strapping tool, the Survivor LST252 is recommended, since it is more likely to work with lower tensile forces. Our service team will be glad to help you choose the right setting.
There are many requirements for strapping systems for the corrugated cardboard industry. The strapping must provide an optimal holding force while at the same time protecting the cardboard box stacks. When selecting the strapping system, the product dimensions, material characteristics, batch size and possibly conditions at the customer’s site must be considered. Our modular strapping machines offer the ideal configuration option for this purpose: Options such as package presses for compacting cardboard box stacks, integrated units for aligning the stacks or a touchscreen for a high level of operating comfort guarantee the perfect result.
The corrugated cardboard industry is characterised by the use of strapping machines due to the mass and frequency of strapping: semi-automatic, such as the Basic/Basic-L, and automatic strapping machines, such as the Performance+ for bundling products, as well as pallet strapping machines, where the strapping is shot through under the pallet by means of a strapping guide and then is guided over the package piece. Our machines Palett +FX and Palett+ are particularly popular. The latter also has an automatically extendable strapping guide, which makes handling much easier.
Lashing straps are used for load securing if the structural stability of the trailer is not sufficient for form-fitting securing or is not certified. They are also used for rolled goods. Jumbo edge protectors are used to protect the paper during securing with lashing means, while dunnage airbags are used for pallet goods in the container or for box bodies. Anti-slip materials, such as anti-slip mats or anti-slip paper, are also used to form a safe loading unit.
